Tutor Biographies:

Gerry O' Connor:  Fiddle
Gerry's reputation as one of the great fiddle players is well deserved having played in
Lá Lúgh and Skylark.  His recent solo CD "Journeyman" has been heralded as a significant milestone in recording the rich cultural heritage of the Oriel region.

Mary Bergin: Tin Whistle
Mary Bergin - "Just about the best tin Whistle player this century" is how the Irish Times referred to Mary in a recent interview.
Mary has toured extensively in Europe , America and Australia playing in concerts and festivals and giving work shops and seminars including master classes in many universities around the world.
In 1990, Mary together with musicians Kathleen Loughnane and Dearbhaill Standun, formed the group Dordan  in 2000 Mary herself won the prestigious "Traditional Musician of the Year Award"

Tutor Biographies:

Andrew McNamara:
  Button Accordion.
Andrew has toured with the legendary Tulla Ceili Band.  Later he joined the group Skylark and recorded two albums with them and in 1994 he formed his own band The Lahawns
Andrew has a number of albums recorded to date, they include two solo albums Dawn and No Compromise and two live offerings with his band the The Lahawns live at Lenas and live at winkles.
Dessie Wilkinson:  Flute Player
Dessie is a founding member of the excellent celtic band Crann. He holds a  PHD in music from the University of Limerick. Dessie is currently a lecturer in traditional music at  Newcastle upon Tyne University .
